EL CENTRO
Forming Leaders. Multiplying Churches. Reaching East Houston.
El Centro is the leadership development ministry of La Trinidad. As we make disciples in East Houston, we also seek to identify, equip, and send leaders who will plant healthy churches and multiply gospel witness throughout Houston and beyond.

Why El Centro?
Houston is home to more than three million Latinos, yet many remain disconnected from the gospel and from a healthy local church. While the city continues to grow, there is an urgent need for leaders who are equipped to serve and plant churches that are faithful to Scripture and rooted in the realities of Latino communities.
El Centro exists to help meet that need. As a ministry of La Trinidad, El Centro equips emerging leaders through theological formation, missional disciple-making, leadership development, and practical ministry training. Our aim is to develop leaders who can faithfully serve their communities and participate in the multiplication of healthy churches throughout Houston and beyond.
Many of the leaders we serve are co-vocational, balancing ministry alongside work and family responsibilities. That’s why we’re committed to providing accessible, contextualized training that forms leaders for long-term, sustainable ministry.
Theological Learning Community
Whether your serving in ministry, exploring a call to leadership, or simply desiring to grow in your understanding of Scripture, our Theological Learning Community offers accessible, cohort-based theological training designed to equip you for faithful ministry.
Our cohorts use curriculum from ThirdMill Institute. Participants who complete the program may earn a Certificate or Diploma through ThirdMill Institute.

Upcoming Course
Old Testament Foundations
Discipleship Badge
The first five books of the Old Testament–commonly known as the Pentateuch–tell the story of God’s people from creation through Israel’s preparation to enter the Promised Land. But these books are more than ancient history. They reveal God’s covenant purposes, His redemptive plan, and His faithfulness to His people.
This course explores the books of Genesis and Exodus, examining why they were written, what they meant to their original audience, and how they continue to shape the lives of God’s people today.
